As I approached my late thirties, I found myself grappling with a myriad of physical, emotional and mental changes that seemed to materialize overnight.
The once familiar rhythms of my body began to falter, replaced by the erratic symphony of hormonal fluctuations and inexplicable mood swings. It was a period marked by hot flashes that engulfed me in waves of discomfort, accompanied by night sweats that robbed me of precious hours of sleep.
Yet, it was not merely the physical manifestations of menopause that proved challenging: it was the profound sense of disorientation and identity crisis that accompanied this transitional phase.
As a woman accustomed to juggling multiple roles – wife, mother, entrepreneur – I found myself questioning the very essence of who I was. The familiar signposts that once guided my life seemed to blur into obscurity, leaving me adrift in a sea of uncertainty.
During this turmoil, I sought solace in resources such as books, workshops, podcasts, webinars, etc.
I immersed myself in research, seeking to unravel the complexities of menopause and its impact on women’s lives. I underwent specialized training in coaching, drawing upon my own experiences to inform and enrich my practice. And with each woman I encountered I found echoes of my own journey – moments of vulnerability, resilience, and the quiet courage to embrace change.
It wasn’t until nearly two decades later that I made a profound shift in my perspective – from viewing menopause as a symbol of loss and decline to embracing it as a transformative journey of self-discovery and empowerment.
Armed with this newfound insight, I embarked on a journey of exploration and advocacy determined to redefine societal perceptions of menopause and midlife transitions. THIS is what I want to help you with in my 1-1 and group coaching programs.
It was this synthesis of personal experience, professional expertise, and unwavering empathy that I found my niche. My decision to focus my coaching practice on menopause and midlife transitions was not merely a strategic choice but rather a deeply personal commitment to serve a community of women in need.
Although my journey was solitary for a long time, I am so grateful and honored for the opportunity to help and support other women thrive through this challenging time in their lives knowing that they are not alone. Together, we are a part of a collective narrative of womanhood.
